Stocks News & Research:
SEC. gov– Official Federal Agency website, including news, legal and other releases and reports, investor education material. Oftentimes, financial news sites will have different numbers than the “official” numbers so why not go straight to the source?
Google Finance- In my opinion, has the best interface to easily browse and search for company information and news.
Morningstar.com- Value oriented website with lots of tools and data. Currently has 10 years of financial statements. It does offer a premium service which is worth it if you want additional research on a particular stock. **Warning** Morningstar doesn’t cover many of the small cap magic formula stocks
Gurufocus.com- A website devoted to following some of the better known investors. The site is a bit messy but some of the interviews and data are well worth taking a look at. I had a premium membership but didn’t find it useful. What I do recommend is to stop by and check their Market Valuation data.
Value Investing Videos
Value Investing Youtube Channel- With about 500 subscribers, I believe this is the largest value investing channel on Youtube. I started to upload videos to keep an online library. I got sick and tired of spending a great deal of time searching for value investing videos, so I thought I would build my own library and Youtube was the perfect match.
Heilbrunn Center for Graham & Dodd Investing- A quick, cheap and dirty MBA from Bruce Greenwald’s class.
Value Investing Forum
Value Investing Forum- I teamed up with Jacob from Valuewalk to create the number one value investing forum. The idea is to have an intelligent forum where individuals are able to openly discuss value ideas and strategies. We want it to be less stringent than value investing club, but also have a process where we will keep out those individuals who aren’t willing to contribute. How has it fared one month in? In one word, good, Too good in fact, as of June 2010, we have 46 members and 9 members (pending).
